Breakthrough: GO

In the book of James, we are told to not just be hearers of the word, but doers as well.

It's time to shift from being spectators in our faith to becoming active participants.  After all, we are not just observing- we are walking in faith. Let’s continue to soak ourselves in the Word of the Lord, and apply what we learn. Picture yourself as the hands and feet of the Gospel, making a difference in the lives of those around you. Volunteer, support community projects, and let your faith be a living, breathing testament to the transformative power of action. How beautiful is it to be apart of God’s plan?

Breakthrough: GO

Jan 17 - 21

Let’s take a moment to reflect on James' call to move from being mere hearers of the Word to active doers. How can you become a participant in the beautiful tapestry of God's plan?

Isaiah 58 tells us that true fasting means to be generous and compassionate to the poor.  It is not just about restricting yourself from certain foods, fasting could also be about giving to those in need. Some examples are; donating to the food bank, supporting the oppressed, and being a voice for the voiceless.

Watch and see as you GO. Your actions will transform the world you live in. You want the world to change? Then do something about it, GO!  I pray that our generosity be a reflection of our  trust in God for provision and may we delight in the joy of giving. Acts of kindness not only bring encouragement to the lives of people but also bring fulfillment to our hearts.

Proverbs 19:17

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed”

1 Timothy 6:18-19

18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”

We should challenge ourselves to praise even in the most difficult moments, for we know that our God is in control and has us in the palm of his hand. Consider embracing the power of love and reconciliation. Allow God’s grace to flow through you as you take steps towards reconciliation and walk in forgiveness. Consider stepping out in faith and planning a life harvest with your life group. Let us invite the Holy Spirit to guide and inspire, turning these gatherings into catalysts for transformation in your life and the lives of those around you.

1 John 3:16-18

16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

GO, and be a beacon of encouragement to others, knowing that your actions have the power to inspire and uplift. In times of challenge, may we be encouraged by the abundant grace and love of our Heavenly Father. Keep shining, keep encouraging, and let your journey be a testament to the transformative power of faith-inspired encouragement. You are a source of light and hope on this beautiful journey of faith. Be encouraged, and encourage others. Amen. Congratulations on completing the fast. We are excited to hear all your testimonies of what God has done these past 15 days.

Let’s pray together;

Heavenly Father, we surrender our journey of faith into Your loving hands. May Your encouragement fill our hearts, empowering us to be lights in this world. Be our constant guide, and let our lives be a testament to the transformative power of faith-inspired encouragement. In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
